Chiropractic Adjustments
Precise, gentle spinal adjustments tailored to your body — new patients and established patients welcome at both locations.
Whether you're coming in with a decade of back pain or a fresh sports injury, your first visit at Twin Tiers starts the same way: we listen, we look at how you move, and we find the actual source of the problem — not just where it hurts.
What Happens During a Chiropractic Adjustment?
A chiropractic adjustment is a precise, controlled movement applied to a specific joint — most often in the spine — that restores proper motion, reduces nerve irritation, and helps your body function the way it's supposed to. The "pop" you sometimes hear is just gas releasing from the joint. It sounds dramatic. It isn't.
At Twin Tiers, Dr. Britt uses a variety of techniques depending on what your body needs. Some patients do better with instrument-assisted adjustments. Some need manual manipulation. Some need a combination of soft-tissue work and movement retraining. There's no one-size-fits-all protocol here — your treatment is built around your body, your history, and your goals.
The Functional Movement Difference
Most chiropractors treat where it hurts. Dr. Britt looks at why it hurts — and those aren't always the same place. Using the Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), she maps out exactly where your movement is breaking down and feeding the pain cycle. Then treatment targets the root cause, not the symptom.
This approach — built on her FAKTR, SFMA, FMS, and RockTape certifications — is rare in the Southern Tier. It's why patients who've been through other clinics without lasting relief finally get better here.

New Patient vs. Established Patient Appointments
New patient appointments are 30 minutes. Dr. Britt takes a full history, performs a movement assessment, and — in most cases — delivers your first adjustment in that same visit. You will not leave without a clear picture of what's going on and what the plan is.
Established patient visits are 15 minutes. Focused, efficient, and effective. Regular care is how you maintain the gains you've worked for.
Family Appointments
Need to bring multiple family members in at once? The Family Chiro Appointment is designed for households where schedules are tight. Book one block, bring the family, get everyone adjusted.
Myofascial Release
Myofascial release is soft-tissue therapy that targets the fascia — the connective tissue that wraps every muscle in your body. When fascia tightens or develops adhesions from injury, overuse, or chronic stress, it restricts movement and creates pain that adjustments alone can't fully address. Dr. Britt integrates myofascial techniques directly into your chiropractic visit as needed. It's not a separate appointment — it's part of how we get you better faster.
Frequently Asked Questions
Does getting adjusted hurt? +
Most adjustments are painless or mildly uncomfortable during the movement itself. Some patients experience brief soreness in the 24–48 hours after their first few visits — similar to how you might feel after a good workout. This is normal and resolves on its own. Dr. Britt adjusts her technique based on your feedback and comfort level.
What is that popping sound? +
The sound is called a cavitation — it's gas releasing from the fluid inside the joint, similar to cracking your knuckles. It's completely harmless. Not every adjustment produces a sound, and the absence of a sound doesn't mean the adjustment didn't work.
How often should I come in? +
Visit frequency depends on your condition, your goals, and how your body responds. Acute conditions often start with 2–3 visits per week and taper off as you improve. Wellness patients who want to maintain their results often come in monthly. Dr. Britt will give you a clear recommended schedule at your first visit.
